An Accessible Villa With A View
Welcome to Villa Caricia, our second accessible villa in Andalucia, not far from the ‘white village’ of Sayalonga. Based on our belief that wheelchair users and their loved ones have just as much right to a wonderful holiday as everyone else, we completely renovated this villa with majestic views and turned it into a ‘little paradise made accessible.
We have had dozens of conversations with people who use a wheelchair to hear from them what bottlenecks they have experienced on their past holidays and what was lacking in their accommodations.
Only after we had made an inventory of their wishes and demands did we begin a major renovation to fully tailor the villa to the requirements of wheelchair users and other people for whom thresholds and height differences pose an obstacle. We learned that adapting the house for the wheelchair users, helps the rest of their company to have a more relaxed holiday as well.
It is our ambition to let you enjoy a fantastic holiday in perhaps one of the most beautiful wheelchair-friendly boutique villas in the world.

A Villa With A View
When styling and decorating Villa Caricia, we were inspired by the Japanese 'Wabi Sabi' philosophy and we used sustainable and pure materials, earthy and natural colors. With great care and love an interior has been designed that is both warm and stylish and is inspired by the soft colors of the surrounding nature. The ample accessories, the refined tableware and the beautiful glasses all radiate quality and give your holiday a summery and relaxed feeling.
Large windows throughout the villa provide beautiful light and give a light Mediterranean feeling. The villa breathes light and space and forms a harmonious unity with the surrounding area. It is a special residence, perched on top of a mountain, from where you van enjoy a majestic view. You are surrounded by quiet nature, look out over many, slightly lower hills and mountains and have a clear view all the way to the sea, glittering in the distance. It’s total peace and quiet with the only sounds being that of the birds singing and the wind rustling in the trees.
Villa Caricia is located in the quiet inland east of Málaga, in an undiscovered part of Andalucia, the Axarquia. This unspoilt area has many quiet and winding roads, hidden corners and little small roads that end when you have arrive at one of the traditional houses. The quaint and authentic Spanish white village of Sayalonga is only a mile away. Several beaches are within easy reach from the villa, each with their own character. The climate in the Axarquia is very mild in winter and in summer it is significantly less hot than inland Spain.
